Happy Holidays from Delta Sigma Pi.
happy holidays

The Des Moines – Central Iowa Alumni Chapter held it’s annual holiday tradition on Saturday, December 13. It was the Ugly Sweater Party at High Life Lounge in Downtown Des Moines.

There was much merriment although this was possibly the most laid-back holiday party the chapter has seen. Much discussion was had about family holiday traditions, office holiday traditions and charitable giving. Good times, good food, and everyone went easy on the drinks this year!

Grand President, Onuka Ibe sent out his holiday greeting recently.

The November edition of The DELTASIG has been published. You can read it online here. One item to note (page 9 and 12) is the the Twin Cities Alumni Chapter earned 2 national awards: Most Improved Alumni Chapter and Outstanding Professional Activities by an alumni chapter. “The chapter focused on increasing recruitment and more than doubled their membership.” One thing to note would be that the membership numbers of TCAC were partially increased by former Des Moines – Central Iowa Alumni Chapter members moving the the Twin Cities and joining TCAC!

Another magazine recently published is “INclusion”. You can read it online here. Published by The Partnership, the Des Moines Business Record, and dsm Magazine, it “is a guide showcasing the diverse culture of Central Iowa. The magazine celebrates the rich cultural traditions of our region’s residents and reflects the value and importance of diversity in Greater Des Moines. It is used by the Partnership and area employers to help attract and retain a diverse workforce in the community.”
