Successful Annual Meeting!

The Des Moines – Central Iowa Alumni Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi held its annual meeting on June 18. It was well-attended by 8 local brothers. This was more than enough to meet quorum to conduct business. Both business and a good deal of fun were conducted at Wellman’s West.

Officers were elected at this meeting. Tom will continue to serve as President. David was also re-elected to the VPCO role. Lorraine takes over as VPCR. Phil remains VPF for the 4th year. 2 new positions include Social Chair, to which Jenny was elected and Community Service Chair which Jody will serve.

It was agreed to pursue the bronze or silver status for the Alumni Chapter Recognition Program for the coming year.
Many ideas were discussed as part of the strategic plan, including a fun recruitment and social event Lorraine brainstormed having to do with frozen yogurt… afterward dubbed, “Lo’s Fro-yo so”.
The legislation for GCC was discussed with much vigor, but opinions generally did not vary to any great degree.
