During the running of the Drake Relays, the Drake chapter of Delta Sigma Pi hosted their alumni picnic Saturday, April 28.
It was a rainy, cool weekend, so luckily the chapter reserved the game room inside the Drake West Village student housing complex. This room featured a TV showing the Drake Relays, Foosball, Shuffleboard, and Pool tables, the tasty picnic food, and the excellent brotherhood shared between collegiates and alumni. About 6 alumni attended the picnic, several traveling from out-of-state to be there.
And brothers can get together again next week (perhaps not the out-of-state people). The May happy hour will be Wednesday, May 17. Note that Wednesday is the day of the happy hour, it’s not a typo. See the calendar page of this weblog and FB for more details.
The happy hour will be at Sakari Sushi Lounge on Ingersoll. From their website: “SAKARI HAS AN EXCELLENT SELECTION OF SUSHI ROLLS AND FEATURES A VARIETY OF JAPANESE CUISINE FOR BOTH LUNCH AND DINNER. CHECK OUT OUR MENU. END YOUR BUSY WORK DAY WITH SAKARI’S HAPPY HOUR FROM 5-7 MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY, FEATURING $4.50 HOUSE ROLLS, $2.50 KIRIN DRAFTS, DOMESTIC BOTTLED BEER AND SAKE BOMBS. START WITH ONE OF THEIR GREAT APPETIZERS AND LET SAKARI SHOW YOU WHY THEY ARE THE BEST SUSHI BAR IN THE METRO. SAKARI IS LOCATED AT 2605 INGERSOLL AVENUE.”
